Spectators: 6731 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bert Parks took the kick off in the first half of the match. Terry Dodd took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Elvis Lafontaine. Elvis Lafontaine dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Alfonso Betts didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 8th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry Dodd in the 11th minute of play forced Qausuittuq AFC's goalkeeper Elvis Lafontaine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfonso Betts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bert Parks in the 14th minute of play. Ronnie Burgess charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronnie Burgess the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 15 minutes into the game, one of Harwood FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Qausuittuq AFC's Deon Lamour got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Alfonso Betts. With a little luck, Harwood FC's Alfonso Betts got control of the ball when Marin Ochoa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marin Ochoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Marin Ochoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Terry Dodd's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elvis Lafontaine read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Harwood FC's goalkeeper Alfonso Betts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marin Ochoa. Marin Ochoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marin Ochoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bert Parks kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Alfonso Betts didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dick Robertson went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Ricardo Beauchemin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marin Ochoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso Betts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Ochoa in the 62nd minute of the match. Terry Dodd received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Elvis Lafontaine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Harwood FC booed when Qausuittuq AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bert Parks didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Qausuittuq AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! Linwood Soucy kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Harwood FC's Ronnie Burgess tried to score from far away in the 82nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Emile Dennis came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Harwood FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emile Dennis couldn't finish the play. If Terry Dodd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
