If Bert Parks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dick Robertson charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dick Robertson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Qausuittuq AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dick Robertson. Paris Kim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bert Parks in the 10th minute of the match. Marin Ochoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Paris Kim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 22 minutes, Marin Ochoa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Qausuittuq AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marin Ochoa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dick Robertson hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Ed Dozier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dick Robertson kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Bert Parks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paris Kim having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dorsey Wyatt made a kick off. If Ed Dozier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorsey Wyatt in the 60th minute of play forced Qausuittuq AFC's goalkeeper Elvis Lafontaine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Qausuittuq AFC's Elvis Lafontaine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorsey Wyatt in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Linwood Soucy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paris Kim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Onoway FC's Ed Dozier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvis Lafontaine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Elvis Lafontaine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorsey Wyatt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bert Parks in the 88th minute of play forced Onoway FC's goalkeeper Paris Kim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marin Ochoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Paris Kim made a huge save. Qausuittuq AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
