The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marty Lespérance during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marty Lespérance hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Marcellin Bourgeau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deandre Avila in the 22nd minute of play. Rigoulette AFC's Marshall Wilkins suffered a concussion in the 23rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florencio Keller during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Maria Whalen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maria Whalen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Marcellin Bourgeau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Jesse Holloway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilford Ricard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcellin Bourgeau having to make a save. After 43 played minutes Murdochville FC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Diamond. If Deandre Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bruno Raines stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Rigoulette AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sherwood Duclos to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Murdochville FC got a freekick which was hit by Lyman Hamby. With his leg Marcellin Bourgeau managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Rigoulette AFC's Maria Whalen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maria Whalen struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Marcellin Bourgeau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rigoulette AFC. Ermenegilde Stiles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Raines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sherwood Duclos struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Marcellin Bourgeau didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rigoulette AFC. Jesse Holloway hit a great ball. 90 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goalkeeper Marcellin Bourgeau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maria Whalen.
