Spectators: 6715 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1715, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sergio Clements took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jason Childs hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Murdochville AFC's Donny Pike tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Richard Spears made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lincoln Muller in the 8th minute of play. A collision led to Delhi getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Jason Childs hit a great ball. After 15 played minutes, Delhi's Tyrone Charlebois shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Huey Varela came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Delhi reached it. When Daren Sizemore came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Murdochville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daren Sizemore couldn't finish the play. Richard Spears showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lincoln Muller in the 19th minute of the match. Jason Childs was shown his second yellow card after 20 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Tony Chaloux fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delhi's protests and gave Tony Chaloux a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Delhi getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Tony Chaloux hit a great ball. Murdochville AFC's Donny Pike couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Delhi. Richard Spears showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lincoln Muller in the 26th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Daren Sizemore left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Murdochville AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Lincoln Muller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lincoln Muller made a kick off. Lincoln Muller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Richard Spears tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lincoln Muller recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daren Sizemore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Richard Spears made a huge save. Lincoln Muller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daren Sizemore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lincoln Muller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Richard Spears tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Murdochville AFC booed when Delhi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Spencer Chrétien didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lincoln Muller was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Murdochville AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Richard Spears stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lincoln Muller's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Richard Spears took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lincoln Muller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daren Sizemore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Richard Spears tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murdochville AFC played a much better game than Delhi and deserved their victory. The Delhi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
