With a little luck, Delhi's Richard Spears got control of the ball when Jerold Conley tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Clements stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Glenelg AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jefferey Binet hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Delhi's goal looked a bit too open when Jerold Conley came free, but Richard Spears reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chester Atkinson's late challenge caught a Delhi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chester Atkinson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Glenelg AFC's Chester Atkinson got a free kick in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Delhi's zone, Sanford German stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Spears came out of the goal and Sanford German tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Steele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Pablo Watkins made a huge save. In the 79th match minute, Glenelg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferey Binet to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Glenelg AFC's Pablo Watkins got control of the ball when Horacio Steele tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 82 minutes, Horacio Steele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delhi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horacio Steele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Spears showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sanford German in the 84th minute of the match. If Horacio Steele had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergio Clements in the 88th minute of play forced Glenelg AFC's goalkeeper Pablo Watkins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerold Conley in the 94th minute of play forced Delhi's goalkeeper Richard Spears to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Glenelg AFC had won after a very even match.
