Pablo Watkins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blaise Sprague's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Dion Jodion was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carden FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glenelg AFC the free kick. Pablo Watkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eli Willis, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chester Atkinson during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 98 played minutes Glenelg AFC got a freekick which was hit by Chester Atkinson. 99 minutes into the match, Carden FC's Eli Willis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pablo Watkins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
