Walter Vaughn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesse Holloway in the 6th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Tyson Mott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcellin Bourgeau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Barrett came free, but Marcellin Bourgeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Howick FC's Henry Barrett in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Murdochville FC's goalie prevented a goal. Tyson Mott received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Marcellin Bourgeau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Murdochville FC's zone, Henry Barrett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcellin Bourgeau came out of the goal and Henry Barrett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Germain Busque charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germain Busque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute, Germain Busque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jesse Holloway fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Vaughn having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Jesse Holloway got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tyson Mott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44thth minute of the game Henry Barrett who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Murdochville FC's Marcellin Bourgeau was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tyson Mott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcellin Bourgeau having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyson Mott in the 47th minute of play forced Murdochville FC's goalkeeper Marcellin Bourgeau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Marcellin Bourgeau was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Henry Barrett showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 51 minute of play. Murdochville FC's Marcellin Bourgeau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Murdochville FC from getting a goal against them. Jasper Lyon kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyson Mott came free, but Marcellin Bourgeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Murdochville FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duncan Bliss to maneuver through the defense. After 77 minutes of play Howick FC's Jasper Lyon was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Jasper Lyon kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Walter Vaughn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Raines in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Raines in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walter Vaughn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Bruno Raines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Jesse Holloway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Vaughn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
