Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Murdochville AFC's Lincoln Muller started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Huey Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deandre Avila in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Marshall Wilkins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rigoulette AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Murdochville AFC the free kick. The supporters of Murdochville AFC booed when Rigoulette AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marshall Wilkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daren Sizemore took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ermenegilde Stiles. Ermenegilde Stiles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Rigoulette AFC's Ermenegilde Stiles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lincoln Muller in the 24th minute of play. Lincoln Mosher hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Wilford Ricard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Huey Varela. Murdochville AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Maria Whalen came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Rigoulette AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maria Whalen couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Maria Whalen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Huey Varela. Murdochville AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maria Whalen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 46th match minute, Murdochville AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Lundy to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute of the match Wilford Ricard shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Huey Varela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Murdochville AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rigoulette AFC were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Deandre Avila to make the kick off. Isaac Oakley kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Murdochville AFC's Lincoln Muller got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maria Whalen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Deandre Avila fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lincoln Muller in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermenegilde Stiles saved Rigoulette AFC from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Sherwood Duclos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Daren Sizemore came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Murdochville AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daren Sizemore couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Rigoulette AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Marshall Wilkins hit a great ball. When Murdochville AFC's Daren Sizemore in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rigoulette AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Lincoln Mosher charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lincoln Mosher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Huey Varela came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Rigoulette AFC's Maria Whalen. But to his dismay, Maria Whalen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. The Rigoulette AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Rigoulette AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
