Murdochville FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shemogue AFC the free kick. Jesse Holloway hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Raymundo McDonough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raymundo McDonough came free, but Marcellin Bourgeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Florencio Keller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stacey Arellano hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Bruno Rainess short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Donnie Key to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Murdochville FC's Bruno Raines got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Hubert Grandpré mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shemogue AFC and the Murdochville FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hubert Grandpré kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Shemogue AFC's Donnie Key played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesse Holloway in the 28th minute of play. Jesse Holloway received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Donnie Key tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stacey Arellano was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stacey Arellano came free, but Marcellin Bourgeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute Jesse Holloway shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donnie Key saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Jesse Holloway notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Shemogue AFC's Donnie Key. Donnie Key was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the match, Murdochville FC's goal looked a bit too open when Stacey Arellano came free, but Marcellin Bourgeau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesse Holloway's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donnie Key read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Cameron Rouleau lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Shemogue AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Murdochville FC:s goal. If Bruno Raines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Raines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donnie Key having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, Shemogue AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Raines came free, but Donnie Key reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Raines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murdochville FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
