Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lincoln Muller started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Murdochville AFC's zone, Jefferey Binet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Huey Varela came out of the goal and Jefferey Binet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Daren Sizemore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11 played minutes Murdochville AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jefferson Gleason. In the 14th match minute, Glenelg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jefferey Binet to maneuver through the defense. Sanford German was extremely unlucky when he, in the 16th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After having played for 22 minutes, Lincoln Muller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Murdochville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lincoln Muller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rémi Chamberlain hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute, Lincoln Mosher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sanford German's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Huey Varela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Murdochville AFC's goalkeeper Huey Varela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerold Conley. Huey Varela made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rémi Chamberlain in the 43rd minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sanford German to strike the kick off in the second half. Sanford German received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Huey Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lincoln Muller struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Pablo Watkins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Murdochville AFC. Jerold Conley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Huey Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daren Sizemore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Watkins having to interfere. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Glenelg AFC's goalkeeper Pablo Watkins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jefferey Binet hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Jerold Conley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Huey Varela having to interfere. After having played for 72 minutes, Sanford German managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenelg AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sanford German was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huey Varela came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Glenelg AFC's Sanford German. But to his dismay, Sanford German quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 85 minutes into the match, Murdochville AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sanford German came free, but Huey Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huey Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sanford German, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Colombe Stern was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Murdochville AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Glenelg AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Murdochville AFC's Colombe Stern got a free kick in the 96th minute. When Albert Lundy fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Murdochville AFC's protests and gave Albert Lundy a yellow card for diving instead. Glenelg AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
