Aurelien Kohler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Despins, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. In the 7th minute, Edgar Guevara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Houston Ouellet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Aurelien Kohler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Houston Ouellet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilles Easley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alec Prather, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Houston Ouellet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelien Kohler having to interfere. Gale Canales might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilles Easley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gale Canales ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 30th minute, Alec Prather got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Valentin Despins struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Aurelien Kohler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mattawa. 34 minutes into the match, Rorketon's Alec Prather sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilles Easley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Houston Ouellet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Aurelien Kohler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Robison's late challenge caught a Mattawa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Robison helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rorketon's Jorge Robison got a free kick in the 47th minute. Tristan Moreno, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alec Prather to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Houston Ouellet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Aurelien Kohler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Houston Ouellet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aurelien Kohler read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Aurelien Kohler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Houston Ouellet in the 68th minute of play. Alec Prather's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilles Easley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Marlin Swift hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Gale Canaless short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Gilles Easley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Alec Prather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alec Prather in the 87th minute of play forced Mattawa's goalkeeper Gilles Easley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 89 played minutes Mattawa got a freekick which was hit by Kris Parr. After having played for 94 minutes, Gale Canales managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rorketon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gale Canales was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mattawa had won after a very even match.
