Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The corner was taken by Manual Gould in the 13th minute. Delbert Gorman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Porter Byers went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. René Desjardins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Salter in the 20th minute of the match. Porter Pelchat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but René Desjardins made a huge save. 22 minutes into the game, Russell Sprague was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ituna FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oakburn the free kick. In the 25th minute, Fausto Medeiros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porter Byers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delbert Gorman having to interfere. 33 minutes in the game, Jon Salter fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without René Desjardins having to interfere. René Desjardins made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Porter Pelchat sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Salter in the 36th minute of play forced Oakburn's goalkeeper René Desjardins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute, Porter Pelchat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 41st minute Porter Byers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delbert Gorman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ituna FC booed when Oakburn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Young D'Avis didn't get a good kick on the ball. René Desjardins made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porter Pelchat in the 44th minute. Jon Salter succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Porter Byers to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jon Salter couldn't finish the play.
