Houston Ouellet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rudolph Pearce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudolph Pearce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Despins, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Houston Ouellet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valentin Despins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Houston Ouellet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolph Pearce having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valentin Despins made a kick off. Marcellin Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Ramon Page managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spurfield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Page was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilles Easley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilles Easley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcellin Sierra, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Houston Ouellet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Rudolph Pearce made a huge save. The supporters of Spurfield AFC booed when Mattawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kris Parr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Houston Ouellet struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Rudolph Pearce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mattawa. Rudolph Pearce came out of the goal and Valentin Despins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ramon Page struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Gilles Easley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spurfield AFC. Valentin Despins might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolph Pearce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valentin Despins ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Spurfield AFC's Kelvin Mullins got a free kick in the 96th minute.
