Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Porter Byers made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Michellton FC's Marius Holloway got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chauncey Braden in the 6th minute of play forced Oakburn's goalkeeper René Desjardins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oakburn's René Desjardins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Thayer in the 9th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Leandro Thayer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Michellton FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Michellton FC's Chauncey Braden got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. René Desjardins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Thayer, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. René Desjardins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chauncey Braden in the 28th minute of the match. Oakburn's Géraud Burgess got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chauncey Braden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. René Desjardins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Michellton FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Chauncey Braden made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Young D'Avis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oakburn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Young D'Avis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlton Grove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porter Byers, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Michellton FC's zone, Porter Byers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlton Grove came out of the goal and Porter Byers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Géraud Burgess in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlton Grove saved Michellton FC from getting behind. Leandro Thayer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but René Desjardins made a huge save. Chauncey Braden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Oakburn's Young D'Avis got a free kick in the 70th minute. The supporters of Oakburn booed when Michellton FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chauncey Braden didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chauncey Braden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Leandro Thayer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of René Desjardins. Oakburn's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leandro Thayer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Michellton FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
