Marcellin Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Kelvin Mullins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honey Badgers FC's Eustaquio Playo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Page in the 23rd minute of play. Shi Peng Ling scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudolph Pearce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Higinio Rodriguez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the match, Honey Badgers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcellin Sierra came free, but Eustaquio Playo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramon Page struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Eustaquio Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spurfield AFC. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Ramon Page managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spurfield AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Page was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eustaquio Playo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute Marcellin Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Playo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honey Badgers FC's Shi Peng Ling was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 48th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcellin Sierra to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Honey Badgers FC's protests and gave Jamie Bernier a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Honey Badgers FC got a freekick which was hit by Jamie Bernier. Rudolph Pearce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shi Peng Ling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shi Peng Ling scored 4-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudolph Pearce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Peng Ling in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudolph Pearce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 93 minutes, Kelvin Mullins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spurfield AFC and the Honey Badgers FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
