Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Porter Byers in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ambroise Mercure prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 8 played minutes Aillik got a freekick which was hit by Joey Ferris. Ambroise Mercure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Porter Byers in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Aillik's Joey Ferris got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ambroise Mercure showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porter Byers in the 11th minute of the match. When Porter Byers came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Oakburn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Porter Byers couldn't finish the play. After 22 played minutes Aillik got a freekick which was hit by Joey Ferris. Clarence Pollard kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Oakburn's goal looked a bit too open when Florentin Sansouci came free, but René Desjardins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Géraud Burgess sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Aillik getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bruno Nguyen hit a great ball. Porter Byers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ambroise Mercure tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Aillik's zone, Géraud Burgess stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambroise Mercure came out of the goal and Géraud Burgess tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oakburn's Porter Byers got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Long Snell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Desjardins having to interfere. Florentin Sansouci's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but René Desjardins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Porter Byers was the one to do the kick off. When Long Snell came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Aillik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Long Snell couldn't finish the play. If Florentin Sansouci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Long Snell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aillik's Long Snell was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Ambroise Mercure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Géraud Burgess in the 68th minute of play. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Porter Byers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambroise Mercure stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Porter Byers's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Oakburn getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Hipolito Labrie hit a great ball. When Laurent Kincaid fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oakburn's protests and gave Laurent Kincaid a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Laurent Kincaid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambroise Mercure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clarence Pollard, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Géraud Burgess sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Oakburn supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aillik's performance. The match ended with a win for Aillik.
