Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valentin Despins took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mattawa's zone, Porter Byers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilles Easley came out of the goal and Porter Byers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Porter Byers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oakburn's Porter Byers got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lawrence Hodge's late challenge caught a Oakburn's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lawrence Hodge helped the player get up and apologised. Lawrence Hodge kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. If Géraud Burgess had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porter Byers in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilles Easley saved Mattawa from getting behind. Porter Byers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Géraud Burgess received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Gilles Easley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilles Easley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porter Byers in the 33rd minute of the match. Valentin Despins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. René Desjardins came out and tried to block the shot, but Valentin Despins slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. 3-0 became the score in the 41st minute when Valentin Despins elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 45th minute of the match, Houston Ouellet got a very nice opportunity to score, but René Desjardins was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Porter Byers was the one to do the kick off. Gilles Easley acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 59th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Laurent Kincaid. René Desjardins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valentin Despins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Houston Ouellet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Porter Byers reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gilles Easley. The goal made the score 3-1. 71 minutes into the game, Géraud Burgess recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilles Easley. Géraud Burgess showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Houston Ouellet struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. René Desjardins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mattawa. 82 minutes into the game, Porter Byers recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gilles Easley. Porter Byers showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Porter Byers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilles Easley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Porter Byers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Oakburn players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mattawa from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
