Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alec Prather took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 11 minutes of play, Rorketon's Gale Canales made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ambroise Mercure was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 14th minute, Alec Prather got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gale Canales's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ambroise Mercure read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Aillik. Ignacio Peck stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aurelien Kohler. 1-1. Gale Canales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambroise Mercure having to interfere. If Alec Prather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Florentin Sansouci, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 30 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Aurelien Kohler was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Aillik's goal looked a bit too open when Alec Prather came free, but Ambroise Mercure reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Alec Prather got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Aillik's Ambroise Mercure got control of the ball when Gale Canales tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 45th minute Marcel Goodson suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After a rather tough play, Rorketon's Marlin Swift got a free kick in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Florentin Sansouci made the kick off in the second half. Alec Prather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambroise Mercure having to interfere. When Rorketon's Alec Prather in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aillik's goalie prevented a goal. Alec Prather fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ambroise Mercure having to interfere. If Alec Prather had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambroise Mercure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gale Canales in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Aillik getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Parker Baker hit a great ball. Florentin Sansouci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambroise Mercure showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gale Canales, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Aillik's Florentin Sansouci got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aillik fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 89th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Aillik's zone, Alec Prather stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambroise Mercure came out of the goal and Alec Prather tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute Gale Canales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambroise Mercure saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
