The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Trevor Buckley kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Ituna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russell Sprague to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Chauncey Braden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Michellton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chauncey Braden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delbert Gorman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michellton FC's Carlton Grove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Salter in the 16th minute of play. Leandro Thayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Delbert Gorman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Thayer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delbert Gorman having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Chauncey Braden managed to get in a good position for a shot. Michellton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Chauncey Braden was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delbert Gorman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Michellton FC's Leandro Thayer got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Porter Pelchat in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlton Grove prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Michellton FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ituna FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon Salter made a kick off. Chauncey Braden scored 1-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Delbert Gorman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute, Chauncey Braden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Michellton FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Porter Pelchat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. In the 67th minute, Leandro Thayer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delbert Gorman was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Porter Pelchat might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlton Grove. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Porter Pelchat ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Michellton FC's zone, Porter Pelchat stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlton Grove came out of the goal and Porter Pelchat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jon Salter did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-3 to the left of a surprised Carlton Grove 82 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Fausto Medeiros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carlton Grove, 3-4. If Leandro Thayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
