An unexpectedly hard shot by Rocky Blue in the 10th minute of play forced Ituna FC's goalkeeper Delbert Gorman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rufus Piper fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drinnan's protests and gave Rufus Piper a yellow card for diving instead. Rocky Blue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delbert Gorman having to interfere. After 22 played minutes, Ituna FC's Denis Donovan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Julian Pariseau came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ituna FC reached it. The audience was convinced that Jon Salter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julian Pariseau was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Jon Salter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julian Pariseau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jon Salter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julian Pariseau. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Porter Pelchat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ituna FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Porter Pelchat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julian Pariseau stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jon Salter's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Sammie Mayer lost his temper 36 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Drinnan a penalty, 38 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kevin Lindsey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ituna FC's Delbert Gorman. 1-1. The supporters of Ituna FC booed when Drinnan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Peoples didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Porter Pelchat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Rocky Blue made the kick off in the second half. Russell Sprague recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes in the game, Rocky Blue fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Delbert Gorman having to interfere. Alfonso Adkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delbert Gorman having to interfere. Rocky Blue fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delbert Gorman having to interfere. Delbert Gorman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rocky Blue in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Rocky Blue left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drinnan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Julian Pariseau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porter Pelchat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Drinnan's Sonny Dufour got a free kick in the 69th minute. Rocky Blue received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Delbert Gorman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alfonso Adkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Sonny Dufour fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drinnan's protests and gave Sonny Dufour a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Sonny Dufour hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porter Pelchat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Drinnan getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Sonny Dufour hit a great ball. 93 minutes into the match, Ituna FC's Porter Pelchat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julian Pariseau narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfonso Adkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delbert Gorman having to interfere.
