In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oakburn's goalkeeper René Desjardins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute of the match Hugues Ernst shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but René Desjardins showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 20th minute, Chauncey Braden made a precise shot to the right of René Desjardins. Oakburn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Chauncey Braden struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. René Desjardins didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Michellton FC. 27 minutes into the match, Oakburn's goal looked a bit too open when Chauncey Braden came free, but René Desjardins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg René Desjardins managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Michellton FC's Leandro Thayer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Carlton Grove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porter Byers, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Carlton Grove stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Géraud Burgess's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 33 played minutes Oakburn got a freekick which was hit by Clarence Pollard. René Desjardins was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Kermit Britt. If Leandro Thayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Géraud Burgess sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chauncey Braden was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Michellton FC booed when Oakburn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Patel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Michellton FC's Marius Holloway got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Laurent Kincaid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes of play, Oakburn's Géraud Burgess made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlton Grove was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leandro Thayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. René Desjardins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Oakburn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Young D'Avis to maneuver through the defense. Leandro Thayer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without René Desjardins having to interfere. If Leandro Thayer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chauncey Braden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. René Desjardins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
