After a rather tough play, Cardinal AFC's Kenny Marquez got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Jeffrey Sandoval's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Mitch Guérette skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 7th match minute, Madoc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sheldon Charpie to maneuver through the defense. Mitch Guérette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ethan Poole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ethan Poole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Ethan Poole fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mitch Guérette, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Madoc booed when Cardinal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Guinn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeffrey Sandoval could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Mitch Guérette made a huge save. Jeffrey Sandoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 33 played minutes Cardinal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Guinn. The audience was convinced that Riley Dube's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Donnell Masson was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. When Joe Castro fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cardinal AFC's protests and gave Joe Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th minute, Joe Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donnell Masson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Riley Dube went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ethan Poole to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Jeffrey Sandoval made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Madoc's Mitch Guérette tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 61 minutes into the match, Ethan Poole notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Madoc's Mitch Guérette. Mitch Guérette was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute Ethan Poole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mitch Guérette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Kris Sheets hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes in the game, Ethan Poole dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Jeffrey Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mitch Guérette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Boniface Stewart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donnell Masson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Riley Dube, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Riley Dube notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Cardinal AFC's Donnell Masson. Donnell Masson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jeffrey Sandoval fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitch Guérette having to interfere. If Ethan Poole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jeffrey Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mitch Guérette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeffrey Sandoval in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mitch Guérette saved Madoc from getting behind. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
