After some careless play in the Goodwater FC defense, Erasmo Fox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jere Gill. The Goodwater FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jere Gill should have stopped the shot. Merlin Martinez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Goddard in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cereal AFC's goalkeeper Merlin Martinez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jere Gill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Fox in the 28th minute of play. Gordon Velasquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Cereal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaétan Vigil to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Jacques Daley in the 48th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Jere Gill's left hand side. The wind increased when Gordon Velasquez made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Gordon Velasquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Goodwater FC's goalkeeper Jere Gill had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Fox. Erasmo Fox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ahmad Jeffries ran back to his position shaking his head. After 78 played minutes, Goodwater FC's Bill Whaley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Merlin Martinez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Goodwater FC reached it. Erasmo Fox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Cereal AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gordon Velasquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Merlin Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Goddard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmad Jeffries received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Merlin Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
