Lynwood Aldridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elisha Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The supporters of Burr FC booed when Marieville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rich Hankins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lynwood Aldridge showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elisha Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Lynwood Aldridge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elisha Acosta was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Marieville's Lynwood Aldridge got control of the ball when Ernie Pryor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrien Talon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marieville's Lynwood Aldridge proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Marieville from getting a goal against them. Ernie Pryors short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Lynwood Aldridge to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Edgar Hayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thaddeus Nicholas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Burr FC's Douglas Gagné played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thaddeus Nicholas in the 77th minute of play. Charles Compton kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Ernie Pryor hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, Mason Doyle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Marieville's goalkeeper Lynwood Aldridge had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernie Pryor. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
