The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abe Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Huard in the 13th minute of play forced Hartland's goalkeeper Abe Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Huard in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abe Ramos saved Hartland from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Bamberton's Arlen Couture got a free kick in the 27th minute. If Nick Swan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Hartland's goal looked a bit too open when Hilton Corley came free, but Abe Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alfredo Huard came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Bamberton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Huard couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Bamberton's zone, Nick Swan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emory Lacharité came out of the goal and Nick Swan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxwell Stern sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaud Querry hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Emory Lacharité made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nick Swan in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Maxwell Stern shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emory Lacharité saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Bradford was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 68th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Hartland getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Gustavo Sheppard hit a great ball. Hilton Corley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Abe Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Bamberton getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mathew Goguen hit a great ball. Maxwell Stern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emory Lacharité having to interfere. Hilton Corley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abe Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Mathew Goguen suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cedrick Hill during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hartland's Cedrick Hill got a free kick in the 78th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Bamberton's Daniel Bradford broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 85th minute, Hilton Corley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abe Ramos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hilton Corley in the 89th minute. After a rather tough play, Bamberton's Daniel Bradford got a free kick in the 96th minute.
