If Curtis Cochran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 played minutes Bellakula got a freekick which was hit by Cameron Combs. Kelley Lafrenière was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 13th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Curtis Cochran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the game, Paschal Odell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Étienne Lawrence was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thomas Ellis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wiley Littlejohn firmly grabbed it by the left post. Luc Khan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wiley Littlejohn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Curtis Cochran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Étienne Lawrence was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. 28 minutes into the match, Bellakula's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Cochran came free, but Étienne Lawrence reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Étienne Lawrence came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Guynemer's Paschal Odell. But to his dismay, Paschal Odell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Josh Ruff hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Paschal Odell struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Étienne Lawrence didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guynemer. After the first half Guynemer were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luc Khan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Darren Camp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guynemer and the Bellakula players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Guynemer getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Darren Camp hit a great ball. Guynemer's Wiley Littlejohn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Ellis in the 53rd minute of play. Luc Khan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiley Littlejohn having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Guynemer's Lamont Crandall got a free kick in the 56th minute. During the 64th minute of the match Josh Ruff completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Josh Ruff a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Guynemer booed when Bellakula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josh Ruff didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Guynemer getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Winfred Abril hit a great ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Thomas Ellis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bellakula's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Ellis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Guynemer's zone, Vincenzo Wray stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiley Littlejohn came out of the goal and Vincenzo Wray tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Devin Jacques's late challenge caught a Guynemer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Devin Jacques helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Bellakula getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Devin Jacques hit a great ball. Lamont Crandall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Étienne Lawrence having to interfere. Thomas Ellis spun around in front of the goal 92 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Guynemer's goal. Thomas Ellis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
