Paschal Mora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Metivier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Milo Boyles did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Thaddeus Belanger 17 minutes into the match. When Milo Boyles came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Piapot AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milo Boyles couldn't finish the play. Évariste Courtois fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paschal Mora having to interfere. Silas Metivier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paschal Mora read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

A collision led to Wiarton FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Rick Whatley hit a great ball. Erwin Cobb took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Thaddeus Belanger. Wiarton FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 56 played minutes Wiarton FC got a freekick which was hit by Vaughn Cox. Évariste Courtois had several of the Piapot AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Paschal Mora as he didn't even see the shot coming. A collision led to Piapot AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Chung Newsome hit a great ball. Paschal Mora made an important save on a dangerous shot by Évariste Courtois in the 68th minute. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Silas Metivier put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Paschal Mora. After a rather tough play, Piapot AFC's Shannon Goulet got a free kick in the 81st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Évariste Courtois got free with Paschal Mora in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute, Erich Narcisse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Wiarton FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Piapot AFC throughout the match.
