Sidney Souplet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Tatum having to interfere. Carroll Bonds struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Danilo Doss didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lawnhill AFC. Markus Tatum made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Charley Herbert sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Sidney Souplet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antone Bowman during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lawnhill AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Antone Bowman hit a great ball. Markus Tatum made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Charley Herbert sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lawnhill AFC's zone, Charley Herbert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Tatum came out of the goal and Charley Herbert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, ABETAO AFC's Charley Herbert sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Markus Tatum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Markus Tatum didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charley Herbert went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Lawnhill AFC booed when ABETAO AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatole Blais didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Charley Herbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charley Herbert was the one to do the kick off. Lawnhill AFC's Markus Tatum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charley Herbert in the 54th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charley Herbert in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Markus Tatum saved Lawnhill AFC from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Roland Brannon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Doss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donnie L'Heureux in the 66th minute of the match. Markus Tatum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charley Herbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Markus Tatum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charley Herbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, Carroll Bonds had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo Doss. ABETAO AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carroll Bonds was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Charley Herbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Lawnhill AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Charley Herbert came free, but Markus Tatum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lawnhill AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
