Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ollie Baron kicked off to start the match. Antony MacDonald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Minh Ruth, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Riondel FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Rosario Layton hit a great ball. Esmé Belcher shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Ned Farmer made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Léon Longoria sent off a good shot on target. Ollie Baron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 46 minutes, Ollie Baron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ollie Baron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Riondel FC's goalkeeper Ned Farmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diodore Clement made a kick off. Ollie Baron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ned Farmer having to interfere. The supporters of Riondel FC booed when Southey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esmé Belcher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Léon Longoria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ned Farmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Minh Ruth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Riondel FC's Diodore Clement ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antony MacDonald. Antony MacDonald yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 83rd minute, Ollie Baron ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ned Farmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After having played for 88 minutes, Ollie Baron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southey's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ollie Baron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Southey players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
