Irving Barrière who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Stevie Murphy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Seaforth AFC's goalkeeper Stevie Murphy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Irving Barrière. Stevie Murphy was a little too slow when Irving Barrière got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 46thth minute of the game Irving Barrière who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seaforth AFC's Stevie Murphy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
