In the 32nd minute, one of Fort de la mort:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fort de la mort. The referee gave Crossfield a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Xavier Hadley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fort de la mort's Ian Lefebvre. 1-1. Ian Lefebvre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Preston, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Crossfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Harry Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ian Lefebvre breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
