The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Dion Franks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Marcel Duran managed to get in a good position for a shot. Troy FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Duran was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Terrance Dupéré breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Cliffside's Terrance Dupéré got control of the ball when Blaine Faucher tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Troy FC's Terrance Dupéré threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcel Duran, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blaine Faucher couldn't finish the play. David Brady hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Blaine Faucher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terrance Dupéré having to interfere. Derick Desruisseaux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dion Franks in the 28th minute of play. Derek Dozier hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When Cliffside's Adrien Trotter in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Troy FC's goalie prevented a goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcel Duran was the one to do the kick off. If Marcel Duran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cliffside's Terrance Dupéré played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaine Faucher in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaine Faucher in the 86th minute of play forced Cliffside's goalkeeper Terrance Dupéré to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Troy FC's Derick Desruisseaux got control of the ball when Adrien Trotter tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Troy FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cliffside's performance. The match ended with a win for Cliffside.
