Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Sung McFarland made the kick off and thus started the match. Ross Morrow fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without August Perkins having to interfere. After some careless play in the Oromocto defense, Ross Morrow kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Perkins. The Oromocto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Perkins should have stopped the shot. If Sung McFarland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Perkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ross Morrow, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute, Ross Morrow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Son Jefferson's late challenge caught a Oromocto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Son Jefferson helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Sherbrook AFC got a freekick which was hit by Son Jefferson. Kevin Tabor made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Paris Johnston sent off a good shot on target. If Ross Morrow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Sherbrook AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Son Jefferson hit a great ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ross Morrow stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. August Perkins was a little too slow when Ross Morrow got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-2. Sung McFarland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Kevin Tabor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgar Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kevin Tabor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sung McFarland in the 69th minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Paris Johnston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oromocto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paris Johnston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ross Morrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Moran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paris Johnston struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Kevin Tabor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oromocto. 82 minutes into the match, Sherbrook AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sung McFarland came free, but Kevin Tabor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paris Johnston scored 1-2 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kevin Tabor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oromocto's goalkeeper August Perkins, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paris Johnston in the 95th minute of play forced Sherbrook AFC's goalkeeper Kevin Tabor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sherbrook AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
