An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Thomson in the 24th minute of play forced Limoges AFC's goalkeeper Michael Barney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newboro AFC's Preston Chavez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milford Wood in the 27th minute of play. Loyd Pickett kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Rodrigo Courtney hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Sebastian Rankin's late challenge caught a Newboro AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Rankin helped the player get up and apologised. Sebastian Rankin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Rankin to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Sebastian Rankin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limoges AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Rankin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Rankin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Preston Chavez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Thomson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgardo Thomson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgardo Thomson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Limoges AFC's Michael Barney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Courtney in the 82nd minute of play. When Chung Dale fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Michael Barney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 97thth minute of the game Edgardo Thomson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Limoges AFC's Michael Barney was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
