Thetford AFC's Kraig Chartré played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sung McFarland in the 7th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Oromocto's goalkeeper August Perkins had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jermaine McAllister. Leroy Singh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. August Perkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oromocto's Sung McFarland got a free kick in the 18th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Jermaine McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thetford AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jermaine McAllister was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oromocto's Sung McFarland got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jermaine McAllister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31stth minute of the game Sung McFarland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thetford AFC's Kraig Chartré was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Paris Johnston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Paris Johnston managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oromocto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paris Johnston was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paris Johnston sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Oromocto were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Paris Johnston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Thetford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sung McFarland came free, but Kraig Chartré reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Paris Johnston came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Oromocto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paris Johnston couldn't finish the play. Freeman Kim kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Paris Johnston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Kraig Chartré tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Dupre hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. August Perkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jermaine McAllister, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Leroy Singh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leroy Singh took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Perkins. August Perkins dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 92nd minute Jermaine McAllister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but August Perkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
