After 2 played minutes Hornepayne AFC got a freekick which was hit by Herman Pham. Emmanuel Wood struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Hubert Beverly didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liscomb. Emil D'Avis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Woodrow Dawkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emmanuel Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Hornepayne AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Liscomb:s goal. Hubert Beverly went to the wrong direction when Stanley Chambers was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With his leg Hubert Beverly managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Liscomb's Bradley Pate fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Emmanuel Wood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Hubert Beverly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hornepayne AFC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Benton Holbrook hit a great ball. Woodrow Dawkins came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Hornepayne AFC's Emil D'Avis. But to his dismay, Emil D'Avis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Hubert Beverly successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Christian Saucedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezekiel Sneed kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Emil D'Avis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Woodrow Dawkins was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Saucedo was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Bradley Pate made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Hornepayne AFC's Hubert Beverly tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bradley Pate sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emmanuel Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th minute, Emmanuel Wood ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hubert Beverly was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 74 minutes into the game, Bradley Pate cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Hubert Beverly was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Liscomb's Woodrow Dawkins got control of the ball when Emil D'Avis tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Bradley Pate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
