The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 played minutes Bersimis AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Rowland. Bersimis AFC's Rigoberto Wray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josh Garza in the 10th minute of play. If Jacob Crum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 minutes, Josh Garza made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bersimis AFC's Rigoberto Wray tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Art Gaulin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Bart Hargrove fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ben Tucker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bart Hargrove in the 44th minute. Jacob Crum received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ben Tucker came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacob Crum slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Bart Hargrove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66thth minute of the game Jacob Crum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazenod FC's Ben Tucker was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bart Hargrove in the 71st minute of play forced Mazenod FC's goalkeeper Ben Tucker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Bersimis AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Art Gaulin came free, but Rigoberto Wray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Mazenod FC's Art Gaulin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rigoberto Wray. Rigoberto Wray yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After 81 played minutes, Bersimis AFC's Nicolas Wesley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ben Tucker came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bersimis AFC reached it. If Art Gaulin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mazenod FC's Art Gaulin got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mazenod FC's zone, Jacob Crum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Tucker came out of the goal and Jacob Crum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Bersimis AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mazenod FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
