In the 3rd minute Emmanuel Wood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferey Pearson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Boyd Pomerleau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liscomb's Woodrow Dawkins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barthélémy Miner in the 19th minute of play. Barthélémy Miner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 40 played minutes Emmanuel Wood rounded Tignish AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The supporters of Tignish AFC booed when Liscomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Lockwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barthélémy Miner in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Woodrow Dawkins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jefferey Pearson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuel Wood in the 60th minute of play. Barthélémy Miner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boyd Pomerleau might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Woodrow Dawkins. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boyd Pomerleau ran back to his position shaking his head. Barthélémy Miner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Woodrow Dawkins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Liscomb's goal looked a bit too open when Barthélémy Miner came free, but Woodrow Dawkins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norberto Jolly's late challenge caught a Liscomb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Jolly helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, one of Tignish AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tignish AFC. The referee gave Liscomb a penalty, 86 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Stanley Chambers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tignish AFC's Jefferey Pearson. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Wood in the 91st minute of play forced Tignish AFC's goalkeeper Jefferey Pearson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 92 played minutes Tignish AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Talbot. Liscomb were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
