When Hassan Haywood came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Bindloss AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hassan Haywood couldn't finish the play. Julio McCarty hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Nelson FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jospeh Ellison fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lorenzo Grier hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Jospeh Ellison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Primeau kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Noé Begin. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Hipolito Carrington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bindloss AFC's Omer Auger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Bindloss AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nelson FC:s goal. Ivan Primeau struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Noé Begin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bindloss AFC. Ivan Primeau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jospeh Ellison struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Noé Begin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bindloss AFC. If Ivan Primeau had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Nelson FC's Corey Dostie got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Ivan Primeau managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bindloss AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Primeau was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noé Begin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Nelson FC booed when Bindloss AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Primeau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Basile Kane hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Nelson FC's Noé Begin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Primeau in the 66th minute of play. Hassan Haywood hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Noé Begin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Primeau in the 74th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Bindloss AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Benitez to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 81 minutes, Hipolito Carrington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nelson FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Carrington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 91 minutes, Lorenzo Grier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nelson FC and the Bindloss AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jospeh Ellison in the 92nd minute of play forced Nelson FC's goalkeeper Noé Begin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Noé Begin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Primeau, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nelson FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
