Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Dowdy in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferey Pearson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barthélémy Miner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Faustino Dubois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barthélémy Miner in the 27th minute of play forced Taloyoak FC's goalkeeper Faustino Dubois to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oscar Dowdy in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferey Pearson saved Tignish AFC from getting behind. 35 minutes into the game, Taloyoak FC's Oscar Dowdy nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferey Pearson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wyatt Powell in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferey Pearson saved Tignish AFC from getting behind. Faustino Dubois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barthélémy Miner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Barthélémy Miner made a kick off. Kirby Bacon kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The shot was a little too simple and Jefferey Pearson could save by the left post. Pierre Goode's late challenge caught a Taloyoak FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierre Goode helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tignish AFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Pierre Goode hit a great ball. Tignish AFC's Jefferey Pearson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Tignish AFC from getting a goal against them. The Tignish AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Taloyoak FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Taloyoak FC.
