Faustino Dubois tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wyatt Powell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Charlie Overton kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Josh Garza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Art Gaulin did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Faustino Dubois 22 minutes into the match. If Jae L'Heureux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Oscar Dowdy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taloyoak FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Oscar Dowdy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Tucker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mazenod FC! In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Taloyoak FC. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Wyatt Powell made the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute, Art Gaulin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Faustino Dubois took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Art Gaulin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Shon Gant during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Oscar Dowdy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Taloyoak FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Dowdy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Dubois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Art Gaulin, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Josh Garza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
