Bersimis AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Crum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rigoberto Wray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hipolito Carrington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute, Wally Grenier had to leave the field with a concussion. When Bart Hargrove fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bersimis AFC's protests and gave Bart Hargrove a yellow card for diving instead. Bart Hargrove kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Armand Deal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Nelson FC's Noé Begin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Blair in the 18th minute of play. Bart Hargrove sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacob Crum in the 22nd minute of play forced Nelson FC's goalkeeper Noé Begin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 minutes, Lorenzo Grier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nelson FC and the Bersimis AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Jacob Crum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Grier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Wray having to interfere. Noé Begin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Crum, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nelson FC's goalkeeper Noé Begin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nelson FC's Noé Begin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart Hargrove in the 43rd minute of play. When Corey Dostie came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Nelson FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Corey Dostie couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Corey Dostie made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corey Dostie in the 51st minute of play forced Bersimis AFC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Wray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Corey Dostie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Rigoberto Wray tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jacob Crum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th match minute, Nelson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Milligan to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Hargrove got free with Noé Begin in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lorenzo Grier was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Lorenzo Grier hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Noé Begin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bart Hargrove went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Bersimis AFC's Victor Terrell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 76th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nelson FC. A collision led to Bersimis AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Nicolas Wesley hit a great ball. If Jacob Crum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bersimis AFC's Javier Blair got a free kick in the 87th minute. The supporters of Bersimis AFC booed when Nelson FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armand Deal didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes in the game, Jacob Crum dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The Nelson FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Bersimis AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Bersimis AFC.
