Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hipolito Carrington took the kick off in the first half of the match. Noé Begin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josh Garza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th match minute, Nelson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timmy Milligan to maneuver through the defense. Noé Begin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josh Garza in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Mac Dickey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ben Tucker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Gaulin in the 16th minute of play forced Nelson FC's goalkeeper Noé Begin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Art Gaulin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josh Garza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Noé Begin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hipolito Carrington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corey Dostie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Tucker having to interfere. In the 31st match minute, Nelson FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mac Dickey to maneuver through the defense. Corey Dostie was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Nelson FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Corey Dostie took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ben Tucker. Ben Tucker dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Art Gaulin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Wang's late challenge caught a Nelson FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Wang helped the player get up and apologised. The attack was good, but when Corey Dostie in the 52nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Hipolito Carrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ben Tucker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noé Begin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Art Gaulin in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Art Gaulin in the 63rd minute of play forced Nelson FC's goalkeeper Noé Begin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson FC's Noé Begin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Art Gaulin in the 65th minute of play. Demetrius Yazzie kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Corey Dostie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Tucker having to interfere. The supporters of Nelson FC booed when Mazenod FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Overton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hipolito Carrington came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Nelson FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hipolito Carrington couldn't finish the play. Nelson FC's Noé Begin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Nelson FC from getting a goal against them. Hipolito Carrington received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Ben Tucker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Lorenzo Grier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the match, Mazenod FC's Charlie Overton broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Josh Garza might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noé Begin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Josh Garza ran back to his position shaking his head.
