Mac Dickey was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 6th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Emil D'Avis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelson FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 11th minute, when Christian Saucedo scored to the left of an out of position Noé Begin, making the score, 1-0. When Nelson FC's Hipolito Carrington in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hornepayne AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 22 minutes into the match, Nelson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Saucedo came free, but Noé Begin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noé Begin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Saucedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Lorenzo Grier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corey Dostie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hubert Beverly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Timmy Milligan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Hubert Beverly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ervin Lepage hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Mac Dickey was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Merrill Sanders kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hipolito Carrington made a kick off. Noé Begin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil D'Avis in the 55th minute of play. Timmy Milligan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Corey Dostie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nelson FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corey Dostie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Beverly breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benton Holbrook during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes Hornepayne AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benton Holbrook. If Herman Pham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hubert Beverly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Carrington in the 69th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Herman Pham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hornepayne AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nelson FC the free kick. Herman Pham kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. If Corey Dostie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil D'Avis succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Saucedo in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Noé Begin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Nelson FC's zone, Emil D'Avis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noé Begin came out of the goal and Emil D'Avis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 82 minutes into the match, Nelson FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Saucedo came free, but Noé Begin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Saucedo in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noé Begin saved Nelson FC from getting behind. Noé Begin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Saucedo in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Emil D'Avis notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Nelson FC's Noé Begin. Noé Begin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herman Pham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Noé Begin having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corey Dostie got free with Hubert Beverly in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hubert Beverly was a little too slow when Hipolito Carrington got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Hornepayne AFC had won after a very even match.
