Spectators: 6740 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Burton Davidson took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Ashmont FC's Rory Corey in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dover's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Dover's Arnulfo Lockhart got a free kick in the 6th minute. Lucius Bonenfant, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Burton Davidson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rey Cheek to make any attempt to save it. Ashmont FC's Rey Cheek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burton Davidson in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ashmont FC's Salvador Lacasse got a free kick in the 14th minute. Herbert Jernigan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 17 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dover fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Nicholas Burrell went to the wrong direction when Lucius Bonenfant was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Nicholas Burrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Corey in the 24th minute of play. If Rory Corey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. A collision led to Dover getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Morton Tate hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Guillaume Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashmont FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillaume Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicholas Burrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes Dover got a freekick which was hit by Alton Womack. Rory Corey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Salvador Lacasse charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salvador Lacasse the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Salvador Lacasse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rory Corey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillaume Lucas got free with Nicholas Burrell in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd minute, Rory Corey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Reyes Crane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dover's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reyes Crane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alphonso Ash during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ashmont FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alphonso Ash hit a great ball. Arnulfo Lockhart was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Reyes Crane left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dover fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 67 played minutes Dover got a freekick which was hit by Morton Tate. Nicholas Burrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Corey in the 70th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Reyes Crane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Reyes Crane managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dover's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reyes Crane was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yves Medrano might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rey Cheek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yves Medrano ran back to his position shaking his head. Reyes Crane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rey Cheek having to interfere. Guillaume Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guillaume Lucas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reyes Crane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ashmont FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dover.
