When Carey Madden came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Millhaven FC fans jumped to their feet. In the 37thth minute of the game Rory Corey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Millhaven FC's Jorge Copeland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Guillaume Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Copeland having to interfere. After having played for 41 minutes, Rory Corey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ashmont FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rory Corey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ashmont FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Salvador Lacasse hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ashmont FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
