The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Burt McIntyre got free with Malik Pickett in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Malik Pickett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gary McLaughlin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. In the 16th minute Lupe Elmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jordon Achin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Denis Belisle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kingsclear FC's Jordon Achin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lupe Elmore in the 25th minute of play forced Kingsclear FC's goalkeeper Jordon Achin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Kingsclear FC booed when Lively AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Hansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Burt McIntyre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kingsclear FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Burt McIntyre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gary McLaughlin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malik Pickett having to interfere. Gary McLaughlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Malik Pickett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd match minute, Lively AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odis Étoile to maneuver through the defense. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lupe Elmore to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Gary McLaughlin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kingsclear FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Denis Belisle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jordon Achin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malik Pickett stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Burt McIntyre's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Lively AFC's Lupe Elmore got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute Gary McLaughlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malik Pickett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordon Achin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denis Belisle went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute Gary McLaughlin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malik Pickett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kingsclear FC's Gary McLaughlin in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
