In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Keven Pellerin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Miller in the 11th minute of play forced Saskatoon FC's goalkeeper Pierre Bland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustaquio Miller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Bland having to interfere. Spencer Gleason fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keven Pellerin having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Lunenburg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Riquet to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute of the match Léonard Dodier shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pierre Bland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Eustaquio Miller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saskatoon FC's Pierre Bland was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dario Maxwell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Pierre Bland made a huge save. Fabrice Cummins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keven Pellerin having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrice Cummins in the 33rd minute of play forced Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Keven Pellerin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spencer Gleason recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Saskatoon FC's Pierre Bland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Miller in the 43rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Saskatoon FC's zone, Eustaquio Miller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Bland came out of the goal and Eustaquio Miller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eustaquio Miller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dario Maxwell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Bland having to interfere. In the 52nd minute, Alfonso Clarke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Merlin Tripp during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Saskatoon FC! Lunenburg AFC's Keven Pellerin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Lunenburg AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute Fabrice Cummins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keven Pellerin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Cletus Carson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Keven Pellerin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrice Cummins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Lunenburg AFC's zone, Fabrice Cummins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keven Pellerin came out of the goal and Fabrice Cummins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saskatoon FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
