When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Donte Amos sped through Lunenburg AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keven Pellerin. When Dario Maxwell came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Lunenburg AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dario Maxwell couldn't finish the play. Émilien Shelton's late challenge caught a Lunenburg AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Émilien Shelton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lunenburg AFC booed when Western Armenia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Émilien Shelton didn't get a good kick on the ball.
