The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Napadogan AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eldon Lemieux was slow to take the kick. During this time Saskatoon FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Saskatoon FC's corner Eldon Lemieux fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jame Cisneros quite easily take care of the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roger Tuttle was the one to do the kick off. Jame Cisneros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabrice Cummins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Spencer Gleason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pierre Bland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronny Trent, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Napadogan AFC's Jame Cisneros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Napadogan AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute Ronny Trent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Bland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrice Cummins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 101st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jame Cisneros having to interfere.
